(128,898 posts)And the dumbasses not only kept that up for awhile but they sent out thousands and thousands of "Breaking News" emails alerts with the same false headline.
In fact - I got a Philly.com (Phila. Inquirer) alert with the wrong headline as well.
The M$M is so frothing racist and greedy that they blurted their venom out in a knee jerk reaction without even bothering to actually get any facts.

(25,111 posts)all reported that the mandate was struck down. I was watching Stephanie Miller and Chris saw that outcome on his tv set BUT Jackie S. said otherwise. Current TV was the only cable news outlet that was correct.
The other news outlet were basically cheering y'know, fuck the health of most of Americans as long as their corporate masters, y'know, the ones that can afford health coverage (like Cindy McCain) had won.
Now, CNN, MSNBC and FAKE news are pounding the talking point "your taxes will go up extremely". These Mfuckers can't handle the truth.

(154,021 posts)They wrote, mostly, both stories... They were waiting for final details.
Here is where they failed...did not wait for actual nooz.
But the log line and most of the body was written by staff yesterday on both.
I know, I know, all my background on TTP, getting written between today and tomorrow.

(10,751 posts)...similar to obituaries. But to publish one version, without waiting for the actual confirmation of what actually happened, is indeed an epic failure.
nadinbrzezinski
(154,021 posts)of that.
Obits people are, major stories not so much. This is why breaking nooz is really so much fun, when it is actually breaking. Like for example when you need to do a fire, especially a fast moving one. (Which in more than one occasion I now get to do)

(103,856 posts)and that the fire crew had a handle on it..and in the background, people were literally running for their lives, with horses on leads..and the crawl said that evacuations were ongoing and the fire was 10% contained..

(154,021 posts)here is where that may come from... true story
Initial call out on a recent brush fire (which thankfully was a dud) was structure burned spread to grass.
When I got there, there was a fire, mostly out... but there was no structure lost, that is according to the on scene PIO. So we had an argument about that... and it was settled by the official post on Twitter from Cal Fire, no structure damaged...
Other news agencies still had the lost structure in the story, and the initial call out was never corrected... it seems to me it was the job of the PIO and the reporters in the field, to do that.

(82,383 posts)I can understand their preparing both results, but how did they actually put up the wrong one?
It's almost hard to believe it was an accident. Maybe they thought some right wingers would see that an d believe it and then not be able to believe the real result - so they can maintain some sort of fantasy that the court held otherwise and the librul media is just lying.

(54,770 posts)I've always hated reading legal opinions. They go on and on and then take a 180 degree turn in the last sentence.
Until it's been a few days, I don't think we'll know what is really in this opinion and what it all means.

(488 posts)I still have yet to have a conservative tell me which of the mega-corporations, some multinational, who control virtually all our media are liberal.Near as I can tell the only thing they're liberal with is salary for their execs and on screen "talent".As news organizations they both suck and blow.I'm guessing their reaction will be to just ignore this failure and continue on as if nothing happened, but Jon Stewart is going to rip them a large new one on this.
