Someone help me conduct a Facebook class on how a TWO PARTY system works, please!

Or some other social media outlet?

I truly believe if progressives who insist on voting 3rd party, some or all of the time, can be shown why voting 3rd party never, not ever, makes sense as long as you are voting in a TWO party system, that we can save this country.

This is not snark, I am serious. I understand why some think voting 3rd party helps somehow, but we need to show them how it never helps. And that it has nothing, nothing at all to do with getting more progressive candidates.

EVERY election, or in 999 out of 1000, the winner WILL BE either a R or a D.

We can show them how you start local, how you push for progressive candidates in primaries but then how you always, 100% of the time then vote for whoever the D is no matter what, no matter what.

I need help doing this...

1. Most people understand already

Voting third party is just their way of showing no confidence in either of the two main party candidates. It's the equivalent of writing in Mickey Mouse.

3. I know that's what it does

What I mean is that most people who vote third party also know what it does. They make a stupid decision on the spur of the moment just to show their dissatisfaction with the two main candidates. In other words, they already understand that they are throwing their vote away and are willing to take a gamble because either way they are fucked. Thing is, you and I know that it was the Russian propaganda machine that made it appear as though we were fucked with either candidate. So maybe a better way to go about this is an instructional video on how to think critically and avoid being swayed by propaganda.

4. I don't know of any Democrat winning an

election because a third party sucked votes away from a Republican candidate. The Dems need to do a much, much better job of engaging young voters and welcoming them into the party. When I was in college the Young Republicans group was very active. I never saw any democratic group, granted it was in a red state, but still, I think it was a missed opportunity.

5. It has it's place...

If you know the D is going to easily win the state but you like the message of the 3rd - vote the 3rd to show support and keep the message alive

I've done that

if it's close get on board and vote D

those who voted 3rd in this last general have no excuse

7. Not even then, and the reason is the message you are sending.

Unless you are one of those who never talks or social media's about politics.

All the bashing of Hillary did far more harm than those who actually voted 3rd party and they did plenty of harm.

Promoting the idea of a 3rd party vote also promotes the idea the two on the ballot are not worthy, others hear this, they read this.

Etc

My position has nothing to do with liberal or not. I am more liberal than any person I know, if I told you about it you would probably say wow, you are really out there.

This has nothing to do with that.

9. I know, and you are not alone, thus why I want to do this nationwide class.

Explaining how a 2 party system works.

And no I am not being sarcastic at all.

11. That's pretty condescending

Essentially you're telling someone who understands how a 2-party system works, but disagrees with you that voting for a third party candidate is ever appropriate, that they really don't know so you're going to create this nationwide class to educate them.

12. I think your idea fails with "conduct a Facebook class"...

...This is not the platform to convey anything thoughtful.
