11. Another Newsday story quotes an official who says Barra was hired due to "ice rink expertise"

because he used to play ice hockey. This slug works at night in the summer running the Zamboni machine at the ice rink at the golf course. Alrighty then!

Barra's a piker, though. One GOP insider's nephew made $80,000 working his part time parks department job.
