I really hate Tweakers (Meth heads)

I have a cold / sinusitis and go to Kroger here in Ft. Worth to pickup some OTC generic decongestant (pseudoephedrine).

First, now they keep the stuff behind the Pharmacy counter.
Second, I have to show my driver's license, and they record all the information in their computer.
Third, I have to sign my name on a signout sheet.

This is all for a box of generic pseudoephedrine that cost $5. I don't have to go through this much when I get my prescription meds.

Then to top it off the very friendly clerk states "Oh this isn't near as much hassle as it used to be."

Thank the Tweakers for all this shit.

Perhaps you should blame the government for a truly stupid, un-needed policy.

I prefer the sinus headache pills with pseudophedrine. They work better.

Not only do I have to go through hoops to buy them, there are no longer cheap genrics and they are never on sale.

It's absurd.

A sinus headache pill with pseudophedrine as one of three ingredients is not the same as pure psueudophedrine tablets. And anything short of a boxload is not usful for operating a drug lab.

The government just likes making people show their papers.

5. Not to be a s.a. but couldn't you just inhale over a pot of boiling water

or use a neti pot (the correct way, that is - following all instructions, etc.)

I'll do anything to avoid taking medications if I possibly can avoid them as they all have side effects of one type or another. Just google the name of the drug and add "side effects."

Hope you feel better!

I do the neti-pot too, but if I want to wake up without a sinus headache I need some extended release pseudoephredine. Remember we all have different bodies

I don't know that I've seen anything that at least some people are incapable of resisting, whether it's tweakers and pseudephedrine, or legislators and punitive overreactions. I don't know what the answer is, but full access to anything an addict wants is probably not a good idea, unless we're also willing to institute a system to ameliorate the damage some folks will inevitably do to themselves.

I would say the system to ameliorate the damage from alcohol is woefully inadequate at best.

The people who create laws are the ones responsible for the creation of laws.

Your angry face and puke face should be directed at those who support the War on (some) Drugs.

I mean, since you believe that the answer to a cold (healing event) is to CONTAIN THE MUCUS DYING TO COME OUT! Totally the opposite of what should be done!

12. Pseudoephedrine isn't an antihistamine; it's a decongestant (reduces swelling of upper airways)

Once the upper airways are open, it's possible to breathe - an important part of healing.

A box of brand-name Zyrtec cost me $30 at Walgreen's. Yeah, the meth-heads and the kneejerk types in government are getting on my nerves, too.
