Must read comment on NYT Letter to Editor from wise man in SCarolina who FRAMES the GOP perfectly.

Last edited Sun Jun 24, 2012, 05:45 PM - Edit history (1)

From “Jumper” in South Carolina:

“"Those aspiring to powerful positions by becoming popularity contest winners don't need truths. They just need massive public relations campaigns.

President Obama and others, including moderate Republicans, have told the truth. Republicans, self-righteously grasping for power have inflamed the incensed denial that they'd caused this nation's mess. Instead of listening, Republicans kicked out all their moderates and, like those 13 year old boys trashing the school bus monitor, have relentlessly trashed all the reasonable voices.

Adults straightened out those boys. Now, who is going to convince all those voters who've been turned into delusional haters by Republican-Koch-Adelson propaganda money to stop hating, listen, think about, and demand credible, workable solutions, and compromises?

Tell unpleasant truths in politics, voters do not listen, and if the truths impinge on special advantages the wealthy have given themselves that disadvantage the general population, they'll spend obscene amounts to obscure, blur, and divert voters from the truths.

We have a jobs problem because Republicans relentlessly opposed pump-priming job creation. Our recession started because Republicans relentlessly pursued deregulation and our banking industry was looted. We have a deficit problem because Republicans dropped the income tax rate to 35% from 70% and now want to gouge the short-fall out of working Americans.”"

Reading DU is pretty discouraging. Celebrations of Walker's victory as a "win for the people of WI", endless posts about how any day now the Repukes will overplay their hand and the masses will wake up, even more about how we should play nice with the Limbeciles so as to stay on the high road.

"Jumper" gives me hope that at least a few of us are awake and might be willing to fight.

Who has it?

Where can I read it?

How are we going to take the power away from the monied interest?
Even if we vote Democratic they are still beholden to the money!

That's more like trying to bury someone in information.

A plan looks like this:

Step 1)
Step 2)
Step 3)

The pattern should be evident. If there is a plan then what step are we on now?

That ought to bring any opposition to democrats to their knees.

No wonder we're getting our asses kicked.

Of course the supportive attitude is even more impressive: Here, read these 1600 pages and you can join our elite forces.

Oh, you just want to read a few pages. LOL, You're a moron and not worthy to join out ranks.
