Why Trump wants a quick "repeal and replace" for the ACA...

He has a TV mind. A short attention span - just like his voting public.

First, even Trump knows any GOP plan is going to suck in real-life terms.

And, sure, some of his stupid Red state white voters will get hurt and scream.

But the GOP has gerrymandered safe districts for the Senate and House so 2018 is not going to be a problem even with lots of bad publicity.

So what concerns Trump is TRUMP.

2020

And he knows that the US public, as well as CNN, MSNBC and the lot of them have short attention spans JUST LIKE HE DOES!

And THEY WILL FORGET ALL ABOUT IT by the time 2020 comes around.

Much better than having it hanging over him for the 2020 elections.

And sad to say he's right.

1. Senate "districts" are called "states"

Gerry can't mander them unless Gerry can change state borders and even Gerry can't do that.

3. I wonder on what platform Trump will run in 2020.

Will he run at all? It's a hellish job that he won't like one bit, but his ego forces him to run for re-election, making him even more bitter and more outrageous.

So... on what will he run?

The economy? We all know how republican tax-policies produce only weak growth.

National-security? The Democrats will hammer the Republicans for the russian meddling from now until the Sun turns cold.

Being the anti-establishment-guy? The sitting President, whose party controls the Senate and the House, and stocked to the rim with corporate lackeys, running as the anti-establishment-candidate?

Immigrant-bashing? Will he promise yet another wall and yet another mass-deportation?

5. The man is 70

He's overweight, out of shape and eats terribly. We saw what the Presidency did to Pres. Obama over time, and he was young, athletic and thin. I think Donald will be very lucky if he can even think about another term, let alone plan now for it.

6. Presidents age from stress; Donald will not be stressed.

He'll age normally and there are plenty off overweight, out of shape 77 year olds out there.

11. He will def. age from the stress, as even now he gets hysterical when anyone disagrees

with him. Trump has lived a sheltered, immensely privileged life. He has never held office, and the presidency is on a level all by itself. EVERY president ages dramatically, Bush II, Nixon, Clinton, Obama (who is a cool cat but he still aged).

He has frequently looked like hell recently, and he has not kept a demanding schedule like what the presidency demands in decades. Huge fights with Paul Ryan and co (which will absolutely start to happen as there is no way in hell they will fund his crazy ideas like a "trillion dollar" infrastructure project) will drive Trump insane, and the democrats will continue to criticize and challenge him. He will hate every minute of it, he will go bonkers over polls, and his face will show it as he ages into his seventies.
