some time in the last year and the connection to tRump was striking. Queeg (brilliantly portrayed by Humphrey Bogart) is a petty, vengeful narcissist. Determined to reap revenge for the slightest show of perceived disrespect or the figments of his imagination, he repeatedly punishes the entire ship on a whim. He is poised, ready to strike continuously. And yet, when it serves him, he can be measured and charming. He even appears sane and "rational" at times. Only when pushed beyond his thin endurance does he crack and show his true, sociopathic side.
I was eerily reminded of tRump throughout the movie and couldn't help but think of the lives he has destroyed or forever altered in his 70 years. Like Capt. Queeg, I believe tRump will have his moment of reckoning, and kept hoping it would happen during the campaign. I thought surely in this day of hidden cameras and other technology, somebody will get the goods on this guy. So far, no one has produced the evidence needed to show the world what tRump is capable of doing.
I think he came close to showing us at the press conference on Wednesday, revealing the Malignant Narcissist that lives inside of his orange tinted head. We know what his hot buttons are. Now we need someone....anyone....brave enough to poke a stick at this sick man so his crack up is public and documented for everyone, including his fondest fans to see. All I ask is that it be before January 20th!
