If Romney’s time at Bain Capital isn’t “fair game”, then I don’t know what is.

Romney Creates Jobs … In Guadalajara, Shanghai and Taipei
By mistermix June 22nd, 2012

The Washington Post committed an edgy act of journalism by actually reading the SEC prospectuses (prospecti?) of companies where Bain had big investments under Mitt Romney’s watch, and, no surprise, those companies bragged about their outsourcing.

Romney’s Bain Capital invested in companies that moved jobs overseas

By Tom Hamburger, Published: June 21

Mitt Romney’s financial company, Bain Capital, invested in a series of firms that specialized in relocating jobs done by American workers to new facilities in low-wage countries like China and India.

During the nearly 15 years that Romney was actively involved in running Bain, a private equity firm that he founded, it owned companies that were pioneers in the practice of shipping work from the United States to overseas call centers and factories making computer components, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

.........

According to a news release issued by Modus Media in 1997, its expansion of outsourcing services took place in close consultation with Bain. Terry Leahy, Modus’s chairman and chief executive, was quoted in the release as saying he would be “working closely with Bain on strategic expansion.” At the time, three Bain directors sat on the corporate board of Modus.

The global expansion that began while Romney was at Bain continued after he left. In 2000, the firm announced it was opening a new facility in Guadalajara, Mexico, and expanding in China, Malaysia, Taiwan and South Korea.

Unlike the immigration surprise, which they pretty much ducked this week, the Romney campaign had to have known that Bain did a lot of outsourcing, so their stonewalling response is a bit puzzling. I would have thought they’d have some kind of re-branding strategy, saying that those jobs “self-deported” or something like that.

Now that they haves said it's not fair, anyone who tries to bring it up will be bullied and destroyed. This is why the left seems so week. We put stuff out there and it's ignored or we get beat up for bringing it up. The right of course can sling false accusations and lies all day long and get 24/7 coverage.

Progressives lose at every turn so that even the left is no longer really left, just a softer version of corporatism.

I thought Rmoney was running on his time at Bain Capital. He certainly not running on his time as Massachusetts governor.

prior to entering politics - Obama took a job (making practically nothing) which focused on helping the human damage inflicted from outsourcing while Romney pioneered the method of outsourcing which inflicted and massively personally profited from that damage.
