IMHO, it is a tax on the poor and the working class as they spend more of their income. If Drumpf is going to do that he should increase the Earned Income Tax refund.

Trade is always a contentious issue that demagogues of all political bents exploit.

The goal should be to avoid a race to the bottom without eliminating healthy competition. The U S can compete with anybody and win.

2. I'm going to say "yes" for only 1 reason.

It will make Trump's economy tank sooner. We know it's coming, the joy ride of the 20,000 stock market is going to crash and burn, the jobs are not coming back, etc., etc. In the meantime, Trump is being treated as the Second Coming and I can't stand it. I stopped at the grocery store this morning and at the checkout everyone is treated to the cover of his buddy's rag the "National Enquirer" proclaiming Trump as savior of just about everything. (There were also stories on the cover about Bill Clinton weighing 117 lbs. and dying from cancer and one of the Obama girls going into rehab. This is what we're dealing with.) The sooner reality hits the better.
