This is a serious question:

Why is Donald Trump tweeting on serious matters like Nuclear Warfare ?

He has not held a press conference in ages, and twitter isn't the best platform to discuss complex policy.

So why?

We know he's a moron/asshole/douche <insert preferred insult> but aside from that, his team clearly isn't alarmed and haven't stopped him.

So why?

11. Remember - when he was willing to be grounded was when he still needed to garner support.

Now that he's elected, and no longer needs public opinion to get elected, what motivation does he have to listen to anyone - even if his team was inclined to try to control him?

I certainly wouldn't want to subject myself to the kind of abuse he's likely to heap on anyone trying to limit his freedome - when there's nothing to gain from it.

Some of his voters think it's bravado and he's not really nuts.

I'm pretty sure he's nuts.

according to his ghost writer and has the attention span of a flea. He finds Twitter tailor made. He issues this crap and refuses to elaborate on it, thinking he's said it all in one sentence, he's so bigly brilliant. We just don't understand it.

Also, his tweets were vile, petty, vindictive, and often a lie throughout the campaign -- yet he was elected president.

It works for him, and he likes it.

There's the view that we shouldn't treat his tweets seriously. I think, for him, no matter what he does, he knows he can resort to twitter to shape and control the narrative. And because we don't take his tweets seriously, that's another norm he has destroyed- we cannot take him at his word - maybe he's serious, maybe he isn't serious? Maybe he's joking or maybe not? And it will be his lifeline to his base, which will be his leverage against anyone within his own party who* raises concerns about his behavior...... Let's imagine how he would use twitter if impeachment becomes a possiblity..

... he says what he thinks and tells it like it is.

We are now living in an alternate universe in which all the outrageous tripe Trump says and tweets is normalized and doesn't hurt him politically. I thought his candidacy should have been destroyed multiple times by his own utterances, but his audience loved him for it. Hillary said "deplorables" once, and it was an inexcusable insult.

We'll see if the real world bites Teflon Donnie in the ass. Impeachment will likely be richly deserved, but highly unlikely with the rethugs controlling Congress.

And America burns. Why they don't stop him? Did Hitler and those goons have a full brick load either? Nuts rule I guess. We are in an insane reality that makes no sense. If people don't demand it-it doesn't happen. The press should be camped out in front of Trump Tower in tents demanding it. Good one I know.
