WH statement on student interest rates: CPAN-3 at 140pm Eastern Thursday

June 21st. Student interest rates are set to double from the current 3.4 percent on July 1st. Republicans are stalling and talking about keeping rates low only for brand new loans, and not making any rate-lowering legislation retroactive.
