When will you consider "rhetoric" from Trump and his minions becoming legitimate threats?

Last edited Fri Dec 2, 2016, 04:44 PM - Edit history (1)

At the rally last night, they chanted "Lock her up! Lock her up!"

Today, Corey Lewandowski is reported to have opined last night at Harvard that the editor of the NY Time should be imprisoned for publishing a fraction of Trump's tax returns.

Hillary Clinton and The Times editor aren't going anywhere . . . . today.

But when do you suppose a page has been turned and anyone opposing Trump will risk a Trump court with either bankruptcy to be exonerated or imprisonment if found guilty? Or his/her/their safety and/or life threatened? Or his/her/their family's safety and/or life?

When Hitler suspended the German Constitution for emergency purposes, nobody expected concentration camps and gas chambers. The first prisoners were detained and beaten for being outspokenly opposed to Hitler.

I'm pretty certain that Trump has no intention of being the President of *all* of us. But OTOH I don't see him sending out the National Guard to stop mobs from going after any particular target, e.g., Mexicans, immigrants, Muslims, maybe even liberals.

Who is going to protect the targeted victims from the mobs? It isn't Trump, his cabinet, or Congress that worry me as much as the mobs. They're contained at his rallies, but for how long? What if they spontaneously gather and go out looking to make someone bleed for Donald Trump?

My real question: How can we stop this horror from developing any further?

How to stop it?

Massive demonstrations....SOMEHOW getting the media to do their job.
Democrat politicians MUST resist now also,, right now..

What else? I don't know...

We will see if the so called so called great "founding fathers" knew anything at all. Will any of the institutions hold? Will anyone defend anyone else? Until orangehitler does something against the 1st amendment we won't know. But ONE thing cannot be allowed to pass. The first thing has to be the last. And mobs must be prosecuted by courts and laws. If not-I suggest all liberals arm up. Sitting ducks I will not be.

That's the thug mentality we're up against; instances of prejudicial violence are now breaking out all across the country, and it's only going to get worse. I'm with you---no sitting-duck relinquishment for me. If Democrats aren't implementing protective measures now, they damned sure ought to be. I think inauguration day has the potential for coming apart, hard and fast. Good luck to everyone.
