First of all, Donald Trump does not make "appointments" to his Cabinet - he nominates and the Congress approves or disapproves. He does not get to choose who runs the Defense Department or the State Dept. That is the job of the US Senate. It is sad that the new President-elect does not understand that reality.
Democrats should stand up for America and should feel no compunction to approve any of Trump's "appointments" unless he can show that he represents what the majority of Americans believe in.
Trump does have a majority of Republicans to work with and it is possible that he will get every "appointment" approved? They may be nothing more than a rubber stamp? Nonetheless, it is a process that we must go thru to establish a new government.
Democrats should stand up for what is right for our country and our people and they should vote their conscience on every nominee and every issue. They should never vote for anything that Donald Trump proposes unless it meet certain minimal requirements. If it is divisive or racist in any way, it should be fought to the last man and woman with any principles left within their bodies.
