Yeehaw I beat the California State Tax Board

I switched jobs last year and ended up paying an extra $32 more than the cap into the SDI (state disability insurance) fund. According to them it is illegal for them to accept that $32 and as a penalty I must pay them an extra $32... The way I see it they need to pay me $32. Anyway, an hour later after getting the issue elevated multiple levels the man offered to just call it even.

That $32 went right into the hands of a local restaurant including a good tip for the nice waitress. That is exactly why I fought this stupidity. If they rob $32 from 300million Americans, its a shit ton of money they just sucked out of the economy.

It would have taken 5 minutes, saved you the hour phone call, and got you a 32 dollar refund check.
