A response we COULD give to those who attack "identity politics" :

"If you are an American and you don't like "Identity politics", the best way to stop them is to agree, in all you do, with THIS concept, and to live by it in how you treat people:

We are all Americans no matter what our culture is.

We are all Americans no matter what our race is.

We are all Americans no matter what our gender or gender identity is.

We are all Americans no matter where we were born.

We are all Americans no matter what religion we practice or DON'T practice.

We are all Americans no matter who we were born to love.

There is no identity in any way that you should have to give up in order to be American. We are one out of many and it's beautiful to BE many.

And if you are having hard times, those hard times were not caused by the fact that it's a little bit easier for people to be openly different than you than it used to be. The hard times were caused by the few who made the lives of the many hard in the name of their own short-term self-interest.

Your lives would not be better if everyone was forced to try to be as much like you as possible."
