What Comey's latest action tells me

At the risk of over simplification I will say that Comey is acting like many Repubs do...

He's placing himself ahead of his country.

In fact, the president should fire him the day after the election. Publicly shame him and appoint an FBI Director that understands how to properly act in the position.

But the president cannot fire him before the election because the Republicans would scream about a cover-up. That would provide a massive distraction that could affect the vote. Director Comey needs to go but it would be a shame and dangerous if that became even more of a cudgel against Hillary Clinton.

There's an important point here and I hope Secretary Clinton knows this: there are no moderate Republicans and there will be no bipartisanship during her presidency. I really hope she doesn't appoint any Republicans to any position in her administration.
