There Is A Name....
for guys who engage in the so-called "locker room talk" exhibited by Donald Trump and defended by his ardent supporters. They're called ass holes. I played sports through high school and college. I've spent plenty of time out "hanging with the guys". I have NEVER heard someone speak about a woman the way Donald Trump did in that video. Not me, not my teammates, not my friends-nobody. I worked for a time in law enforcement coming into contact with some of the most crude and offensive people you could imagine (or could have only imagined until now) and they were generally on the right side of the law. The only time I heard descriptions of somebody treating women in that manner would have been in grand jury transcripts, police reports and testimony in sexual assault cases. This is not normal or accepted practice-I can assure you. Yes, occasionally I have encountered guys who brag about their sexual exploits. They are not considered just one of the guys. They are not considered just normal red-blooded American "manly men". They are called ass holes. So,when you hear you hear Rudy Giuliani defend this speech as "normal", remember what kind of people talk like that. When you hear anyone defend Trump's speech as just the way guys talk, remember it is not and that anyone who thinks its o.k.-well you know what they call guys who think its alright. When Chris Christie refuses to speak out about the character of his newest bestest buddy and meal ticket- remember what they call guys who think its OK (and hey Mary Pat, it must be a real trip to be married to a guy like that!) And Donald Trump-well, I'm not telling the folks on this site anything they didn't already know about him. We all know what they call guys like him. Oh, and by the way, they call people like him unfit to be President of the United States too.
I apologize for the explicit language but sometimes it just takes a certain word to communicate a particular concept.
