Why are Matt Drudge and Rush Limbaugh pushing Hurricane Matthew conspiracy theories?

Mother Nature’s myth: Why are Matt Drudge and Rush Limbaugh pushing Hurricane Matthew conspiracy theories?
Listening to science? No way

Florida is hunkering down as a Category 3 hurricane charges up the Atlantic Coast. As of Friday morning, the storm’s eyewall — boasting winds over 100 mph — sat just over a dozen miles from land. The storm battered Haiti, where death toll estimates have been as high as 300, and could deliver strong winds and massive storm surges to much of the state’s east coast. Florida’s Republican governor didn’t mince words Thursday when he told reporters, “this is going to kill people.”

And yet, Matt Drudge thinks this is all a big conspiracy.

Rush Limbaugh joined in the conspiracy train Thursday, noting that people shouldn’t trust the government’s warnings because the government is likely biased. He said that the government was inflating the fears of the storm’s damage. He said people shouldn’t worry, because his house was hit by Hurricane Wilma in 2005 and was just fine.

They have seen the depths of ignorance demonstrated by the number of people who support Trump and they are gagging to get rich on the backs of the deplorables.

Their opinions are not even worthy of discussion - not even in general, but even MORE so on a liberal discussion board (or one that purports to be) like DU.

The town has a service and we lay flowers at their memorial in Islamorada every single year. Very elderly residents still recall the day like it was yesterday. Some of the men helped to find bodies lodged in the trees and mangrove bushes.

These are the people I honor.

Rush and Drudge: Please don't come here, ever. This is hallowed ground, and your feet don't belong on it.

Nobody gives a shit about what Rush Limabugh thinks anymore, and Infowars has changed things for the worse, so the only way they can generate an audience is to stoop to Alex Jones' level and just make shit up.
