So Colin Kaepernick endorsed Trump?

Essentially the answer is yes...

At his news conference about 2 weeks ago, essentially stated the “We have a Presidential Candidate who deleted emails and did other illegal things.. if it were any other person, you’d be in jail”

I support his cause immensely, however he took the Trump Lies pushed by MSM and ate them whole..
I wonder how many of the millions who saw his quick rant to the press were influenced to move towards Trump..

I still get sick every time I see that Clip...Essential Colin perpetuated the narrative that Clinton is a crook which certainly will continue to help a huge racist in his quest to become president..

Here’s something else..

14. It wasn't injuries it was lack of progress

He never learned to read the complete field. And that was a problem from day 1. The injury is why he's still he's still on the team as his contract was guaranteed earlier in the year and it was guaranteed for injury. So cutting him doesn't save any money.

a sit in demonstration to highlight current outrageous injustice against Black Americans.

But I'd like to know his past political track record, with a view to seeing if he was already in the bag for Rove Ailes etc.

It wouldn't surprise me to see they set up someone to do something they would decry longly and loudly as "anti-American" and "treasonous", to whipsaw their opponents. And the corporate media would give them a platform to do it, for weeks.

Athletes aren't often political as they concentrate on their sport. Lebron James, Chris Paul, Camelo Anthony and Dwayne Wade are exceptions. Their call to action to athletes to get involved and give back to the community at the recent Espy Awards probably inspired Kaepernick.

Someone needs to pull him aside and school him that Trump is the POS we all know him to be and that Hillary is more aligned with his protest's purpose.

59. I'm still with you, 100%. I'm not a sports fan, and don't know the guy's bio.

To me, he was just a famous guy I didn't know, and he took a high profile "stand" that he got undeserved heat for. I didn't bother looking up where he was coming from, higher or lower income, urban, rural, suburban, what college, what team, what major, etc. I don't know his sports records. I supported his stand online, and gave it a couple of recs here.

You can graduate college and not be very politically aware. But it's axiomatic that there is no strata of society among Black Americans where people are backing tRUmp, holding their head up high, and being out in the open about it, hanging around a big segregated crowd and fitting in. 0 -7 % support for tRump means a supporter is an anomaly, everywhere you go. Only a few apprentices, business people, and religious business people support him, and they don't have enough clout to put any Color in the tRump audiences. Nobody but a shill wants a pic or video of themselves with tRump, so he can't get people of color to sit behind him at events. (Me sit behind tRump? Sorry, I think I left the gas on at home.) It was interesting when the tRump FL campaign head Karen Giorno let the tRump African American outreach head Sean Jackson get kicked out of the rally by security, because he's Black. The incident seems like something that would make a person sit up and take notice, if it's somebody who's concerned about politics and Race issues.

The conflation of the 2 candidates is a false equivalency. Sec Clinton's not dishonest about anything that she's been investigated about, and she's been investigated a whole big bunch. tRump leaves a constant trail of criminal slime indictments everywhere he goes, a ton of them are outstanding and unresolved, new ones are popping up. His campaign slogan should be "I'm Not In Jail Yet!"

And he has a huge record of constant lies, an easily documentable record. So he's super dishonest both ways. Maybe Mr. K doesn't know a lot politically, he's not following the political news like some people don't follow sports. Maybe he just sees the tons of high-profile police misconduct cases, and missed that part where tRump said he was "going to let Chicago top cops off the leash to clean up the neighborhoods chop chop," because suspects (civilians) have too many rights.

Black Lives Matter. That is his message. Everything else is just a distraction from that message. So if you are 100% in agreement with his stance, it would be more helpful if you would focus on that, and not some off hand comments made clearly out of frustration.

Another thread just focusing on his comments about Hillary, and nothing else. Nothing about what he said about rump, nothing about why he decided to have his protest.

I think it's a pathetic attempt to try to smear Colin, Black Lives Matter and Hillary Clinton all in one shot.

I'm not editing his comments, he is clearly very politically interested in racial injustice. Unless one is hostile towards the Black Lives Matter movement, it should be obvious where the focus should be.

Yes, he had the right to sit out a national anthem without being arrested for it.

He's also got the right to be politically stupid. It's not his field, it's not his job.

Unfortunately, he's a football player so a lot of people, mostly men, seem to hang on his every word.

The media is part of the dumbing-down for profit problem.

They dare not present issues logically and analytically with reference to facts. It would not be entertaining enough for the populace. Hence the relentless effort force the campaigns into a (close) horse race.

Football games fill the same role as the "bread and circuses" of the Roman Empire, with equal benefit for the ruling class and equal devastation for the longevity of the nation.
