Valley girl rages on Lyft driver over "politically incorrect" bobble head doll

The petty shit some people lose their mind over...

And if you're privileged and hip enough, you to can become part of her super cool club...

Inside the elite, super-secret world of L.A.’s coolest girls on Facebook

To gain entry into the most exclusive club in Los Angeles, there is no need to wear a trendy outfit or to slip the bouncer a Benjamin. In fact, there isn’t even a line.

Instead, admission requires the approval of a scrupulous jury of 1,500 women. And if those women decide to let you into their secret club, a Facebook group called ‘Girls Night In,’ all 1,500 of them will become your very best friends.

‘Girls Night In’—or GNI, as its members call it—is like a giant online slumber party, one that never ends, slips into your pocket and can be called upon at any moment in the day that you need it. It is a constant stream of brutally frank chatter about relationships, work, sex, race, gender and, yes, cats, along with a bizarrely large quantity of nude selfies. It is made up mainly of women in their 20s and 30s who live in the Los Angeles area. Among its ranks are Instagram-famous models, former reality show contestants, celebrity makeup artists and the quasi-famous girlfriend of a very famous singer.

“You will be published on Gawker,” Nielsen told the driver. “And you’ll be like the next internet meme, it’s going to be super funny.”

Supposedly, she got the driver fired, but I can't find any reliable confirmation of that.

and Lyft saw the clear evidence of who the rude aggressor truly was.

Apparently, she forwarded the video to one or more of her friends, and the friend sent it to Lauren Southern and/or Philip DeFranco and/or other big YouTubers and it's gone viral. Her name is mud now (as it should be).

And will sometimes go to extraordinary lengths to wreak havoc on those they perceive as inferior and vulnerable.

Apparently the woman in the OP went on to contact Lyft, accused the driver of being racist and demanded he be fired.

It's a truly ugly power play by a despicable person.

I've known some educated liberals who "looked down" on people working at McDonald's and the like.

I tend to only look down at people who get paid enormous amounts of money for doing very little. At least McDonald's employees are providing a real service to humanity.

A liberal arts education? How about a little "school of hard knocks" if a balanced perspective is truly desired?

And concerned only for self.

Hard knocks might engender these values and feelings in some, but not in others.

I saw a family a few years ago that was giving purchased meals to homeless people in a park. It looked like this was an ongoing tradition for them. The children were as kind and compassionate as their parents in the way they accomplished this. That might be the better way.

I have an older brother who volunteered for "Habitat for Humanity" at one time. I thought that was great, but I later realized that his main goal was to be recognized for such service.

He's got a very strong sense of entitlement in many ways. He yelled at me in the past that he would never live in an apartment and that he'd never work in a factory again. He proclaimed that he was an electrical engineer and should have a better life due to his hard work. When I reminded him that I have degrees in math and physics and even more education than him (a higher GPA too), but I've spent most of my life working in hot factories and living in apartments, it went through one ear and out the other for him.

I also witnessed a woman who worked a desk job in HR who was temporarily demoted after she made a major mistake that cost the company lots of money. Someone hacked into the phone system that she'd set up and called foreign countries at incredibly high rates. It was a Japanese company, so they offered her continued employment rather than firing her. She cried big crocodile tears when she was moved to the factory floor. It wasn't even hard work! She got to stand in one spot and examine parts for visual blemishes. She was eventually moved back to her former position and all was right in the world for her once again.

My mother often spoke of how she was lucky, on a given day, to have a potato and some milk during the Great Depression. I've never forgotten her stories and I honestly believe that many people are "soft" today.

I want people who need help to receive it, but many of the political discussions are filled with nonsense about status in society. Maybe I'm just weird compared to the normal status-obsessed person.
