She can't be the only one:
Perusing the comments to a WaPo piece about Trumpian lies, I came across the following post. I can't help but wonder how many others are fleeing Trump but not courageous enough to speak of it:
"Well, it looks like Trump has gone full-Palin. I am deeply embarrassed to admit I was backing this man until 2 weeks ago. But as I dash red-faced out of the collapsing circus tent that is hosting the Trump/Pence party, I can at least say that I wasn't the last one to get out with some dignity left intact." https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fact-checker/wp/2016/08/11/trumps-claim-that-obama-is-founder-of-iraq-an-interview-with-joby-warrick/#comments

5. I don't think that is overboard.
Palin seems reasonable compared to Trump because Trump is so out of control. Palin is not a good choice overall though and she sucks compared to Hillary and most other politicians out there.

17. I would have never imagined to say it,
but indeed, Palin almost looks reasonable. From her knowledge and demeanor, Clinton is on a completely different level, of course, but Trump actually makes Palin appear to be a reasonable politician. One of her advises talked about how Palin woke up with signs of markers in her face because she was preparing and reading up on things till she fell asleep. I can even respect it that she took it seriously, acknowledged her huge knowledge gaps and put in this effort to try to fill these gaps.
Trump doesn't care what he says, believes he knows more than all the experts in any field (he knows the political system better than anyone, he knows more about ISIS than the generals), makes up stuff as he goes and always finds someone else to blame for his insane behavior. |

11. TRUMP IS PULLING A FARCE ON ALL OF US!
He is just running ANOTHER one of his ORCHESTRATED bankruptcies. Like the others, he walks away, leaving a disaster. He will pick up the publicity and go home. Think of him as Trumplethinskin weaving all that political hay into gold. Trump even told his staff a few weeks ago, that losing is no big deal and there are advantages even in losing. Easy for Trump to say, he doesn't suffer. These people put their time, effort and heart into his campaign. Trump sluffs that off, uses everyone like a tissue, then tosses it away. No problem for him.

19. Even in the brightest spotlight, Trump is juggling money around as he works his scam.
I have heard all of the following claims from him:
> He is self funding his campaign > He has super packs > He has spent zero and is proud of it > He has spent $60 Million of his own money Now you can see why he gets audited. You know he is playing this for profit somehow. |

24. Gotta pay back certain types of investors.
The ones who don't accept legal filings of bankruptcy, and won't just write a couple dozen million off the books.
I agree. His "accountants" has probably already shuffled some SuperPac and personal money offshore into untraceable accounts, and then he can claim he's broke from spending all his own money to finance his campaign for office after the election is over. The legitimate businesses - probably most of his venues, campaign swag producers and their financers/suppliers - will get stiffed as he walks off to "retrench and rebuild" his extravagant lifestyle. Then he'll pay off whatever mafia(s) he owes, and use whatever's left to seed his next adventure in creative financing. Just as he had done previously. Haele |

13. Not at first though...
I think the GOP thought she was much more intelligent than she was, a fresh face to appeal to those looking for something a little rogue. Instead they got someone who couldn't name a single newspaper that she read and could only answer questions if well scripted responses had been memorized. I almost felt sorry for her when she kept repeating her scripted answers to questions that she didn't understand. But it got more irritating. Many people who supported her early on saw the light eventually and were pretty embarrassed about it.

I guess they can have the enlarged amygdala that researchers have found to be common to conservatives.
But honestly, my filters were shocked to see her writing. I didn't expect full sentences, apt metaphors and no swearing! ![]() |

15. I predict thousands upon thousands of women are being tight-lipped as they
listen to their ranting male relatives and are going to go into the voting booth and vote for Hillary. They've always known Drumpf was nutcase, they simply won't stand up and say so. There is going to be lots of secret H voting!

She lost every scrap of that the moment she backed Trump. The best she can hope for is repentance and forgiveness.
