They piss me off every year. At least this year they're spending all four hours of prime time on competition. The 2 hours they spent on athletes' back stories and local food used to annoy the shit out of me.

USA's Simone Manuel tied with Canada's Penny Oleksiak for the gold in swimming and I was SURE that was the Simone being talked about, she was amazing as well.

and was so happy that a Canidian AND an American tied for the win, how A W E S O M E. Made me so proud.

Both made history, Simone Manuel as the first African American woman to win a gold medal in an individual swimming event and Penny Oleksiak, the first Canadian to win 4 medals in one summer Olympic event as well as the youngest Canadian ever to win a gold medal. Oh, and they broke the Olympic record re time as well, lol.
