I'd read it, but I thought it was a joke. Nope! It was the actual music selection after his long winded speech.
Donald Trump closed the longest GOP presidential acceptance speech in recent times with the Rolling Stones You Cant Always Get What You Want.
Trump has featured the track during his campaign, even drawing the ire of the Rolling Stones earlier this year. The Rolling Stones have never given permission to the Trump campaign to use their songs and have requested that they cease all use immediately, a spokesperson for the band said in a statement.
Those words, nor the irony of playing You Cant Always Get What You Want during a Republican National Convention that was often quite divided on Wednesday, for example, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) refused to endorse Trump from the stage and was summarily booed was not lost on viewers. Social media exploded after Trumps speech as the song played, with many mocking the Republican presidential nominee for the song choice.

We Just Watched the Republican Party Kill Itself
CLEVELAND It seemed possible that the balloons would never drop.
This was not, after all, the celebration that the Republican Party had waited four years for.
This was a reading of last rites.
The Republican brand is now permanently sullied by the victory of a former reality television star with an adversarial relationship with the truth and a fluorescent rodent adorning his head.
Donald Trump accepted his nomination as the Republican candidate and finished his speech, yet thousands of red, white, and blue balloons briefly remained suspended in the air in patriotic protest.
He lingered onstage, greeting each member of his family and his running mate, Mike Pence. They smiled and waved, but the celebration did not begin on cue.
Searching For Trump/Clinton Alternatives? Google Says You're Not Alone
Google says searches for "3rd party candidate 2016" have risen by more than 1,100 percent, showing many Americans are dissatisfied with their choices.
Confetti began to rain slowly downward.
And then You Cant Always Get What You Want started playing.
Subtlety was never the theme of this election, after all.
