whether a quote he read out was "Trump or False." Most of them had no idea of what Trump had said.

Colbert read out the "I have a very good brain, and I've said a lot of things," and the "I went to the best school and I have a lot of words. I have the best words" statements. The Trump fans guessed those were not things Trump had actually said, and were surprised to hear that in fact those were exact quotes from their idiot American Idol.

Those folks are probably too far gone to have their devotion weakened, but maybe, just maybe, a few people leaning Trump who watched the segment might have a "WTF?" moment and maybe lean a little bit back in the direction of sanity.

People in general just do not bother to know anything about the people they vote for, their actions and beliefs, or the policies they espouse. They vote for their "team," or they vote from their gut, and usually their gut is full of exactly what the gut is intended by nature to be full of: caca.

O, and BTW, he asked one older female Trump which she would choose if Ronald Reagan actually was returned to earth to "save" the US. SHe said she adored Reagan, but she would have to go with Trump, "because we need a change."

Good lord, we're doomed.

Even if Trump does not manage to get himself enthroned as the emperor of the world (which is, of course, the position he thinks he is running for), our species has no hope of maintaining anything even vaguely resembling civilization, and we are determined to destroy the environment along the way to our own destruction so that most other species will be driven to extinction along the way.

"Hillary for America will receive:
your public profile and email address. "

Nope. Not gonna happen.

That said, there are two kinds of people in America:

1). People who already know that Trump has a low opinion of every human being on the planet, so they won't be shocked.

2). People like my sister, who is on the "Trump Train," and nothing's going to get them off.

I'd be more concerned about things like Trump's son telling Pence he will be in charge of "domestic and foreign policy," and when Pence asked what Trump will be doing, was told "Making America great again."

See, Trump's misogyny and his tendency to screw people over (like the many contractors who worked for him and then were left out in the cold when he filed for bankruptcy) fall into the "I don't care" category for a lot of people. I don't know why, I can't explain it. I saw an article today along the lines of "Women Explain Why They Like Trump Despite His Misogyny." I didn't bother posting it, and I didn't read it either, because it's just information I don't want to know. It falls into the "Hitler loved his dogs" category.

What I would most like to be hearing from the Clinton campaign right now is "If Trump is elected, Pence will actually be President, and Trump will just do all of the things he was doing before he decided to run."

Because that's the truth, and that's what should frighten us the most.
