I just say thank you Merry Christmas. I normally am trying to get out of the stores as quickly as I can after buying presents.

(even for a non-believer) ... the "All holidays matter" response should be reserved for those whining that someone didn't/doesn't say, or won't require that someone else say, "Merry Christmas".
