http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/06/11/brock-turner-may-have-sent-friends-photo-of-victim-during-sexual/The Stanford University student convicted of sexual assault in a case that has inflamed American public opinion may have sent a photograph of his victim's breasts to friends during the attack.
Detectives subsequently saw a notification appear on Turner's phone reading "WHOS TIT IS THAT" (sic), court documents show. The message came from a fellow member of Stanford's swim team.
Based on the timing of the message and the fact that the victim's bra had been pulled off one of her breasts, police concluded that Turner had probably sent a photograph, though after obtaining a search warrant for his phone they were unable to locate it.
A search of Turner's phone found photographs and text messages relating to drug and alcohol use, despite the fact that a key facet of his defence was that he was an inexperienced drinker caught up in the party culture on campus.

(671 posts)If someone did that to HIS sister or mother?
Between prison and natural selection his type must be thinned out of the herd.

And I seen it happen here on DU, more than once.

(22,336 posts)First, because I've seen her speak out against prison rape a number of times.
Second, because she follows feminist issues, and this is an issue that's come up a lot: people responding to something bad happening to a woman by saying, "What if it were your mother, sister, etc.?" The issue is that you shouldn't have to imagine something happening to your mother or sister to have empathy for a woman who is a victim of violence. I think THAT is what her response was about.

(19,926 posts)username. And two, "she" has played the gender card way too many times and made a mockery of feminism by doing so. And three, when it was clearly the 'real' seabeyond she posted some crazy shit about Bernie insinuating he is a racist.
So I have zero respect for whoever is using that username whenever they use it at this point, however, you could be right. My post still stands regardless of what that post meant as I was replying to someone else.

(110,159 posts)rape of a woman by having them imagine it done to a mother or sister. A man should oppose rape simply because she is a human being. But, if he has to imagine it done to feel empathy of another, then he can well imagine it done of him and know how invasive it feels.

(1,178 posts)The horrors that the poor Turner family is suffering. It must be unbearable to have that unconscious woman ruin their home decorating projects. She had a helluva nerve getting herself assaulted.
