New CNN poll on heath care reform - 51% oppose ACA but 13% of those think it's too conservative.

Favor ACA ...................................... 43%
Oppose ACA (it's too liberal) ............. 34%
Oppose ACA (it's not liberal enough) - 13%
No opinion ..................................... 10%

So the much publicized conservative opposition to ACA polls at just 34%. Very interesting.

Not too surprisingly 74% of Democrats (75% of self-identified liberals) favor the ACA and 86% of republicans (76% of self-identified conservatives and 83% of teabaggers) oppose it.

that all the opposition is from the right.

Whoever wrote that poll for CNN will probably have a short career as a pollster. Polls are supposed to manage opinion, not measure it.

It would be curious to see a breakdown of how many favor ACA, but still think we should have gone further.

further."

That would be a very interesting poll question. You and I probably agree that the vast majority of the "favor ACA" group would respond that they wish that it had gone further in a liberal direction.

Too bad CNN only asked the followup poll question to the "oppose ACA" group.

the unconstitutional republican mandate, I wonder what the numbers will be then, with citizens being forced into the embrace of serial-killer insurance agencies.

... if ACA is found to be unconstitutional by The Supremes, which is the consensus view of a great many.

I would hope it will produce a ferocious backlash demanding single payer, but I am not sure I would place the bet.
