Those who do not learn from History.....Trump is not Hitler. Hitler wasn't even Hitler, until he was

He’s not Hitler, as his wife recently said? Well, of course he isn’t. But then Hitler wasn’t Hitler—until he was. At each step of the way, the shock was tempered by acceptance. It depended on conservatives pretending he wasn’t so bad, compared with the Communists, while at the same time the militant left decided that their real enemies were the moderate leftists, who were really indistinguishable from the Nazis. The radical progressives decided that there was no difference between the democratic left and the totalitarian right and that an explosion of institutions was

Anyof the above sound familiar?

Conservatives pretending he isn't so bad? Check.

Far Left that thinks the moderate Left is the real enemy? Check

Here we go folks.

revolutionaries then turn on each other.

And while some might point out to the Founding Fathers, the fact is they all compromised. Or, as some where would phrase it, sold-out as third-wayers.

Ben Franklin, btw, did not want to completely severe ties with England. And he was thought by some as too 'conservative'.

Seeing that is the case, my focus have gone towards mitigating damage by going after local races.

Keeping checks and balances to me, would perhaps be the best way to combat this.

hard to tell what he's capable of, but my gut feeling is it will not be good. And millions of Americans would likely sign up to be his brown shirts. I was saying this to a friend recently and they told me I was nuts. ... but studying history real shit happens and countries change drastically.

I mentioned once in the Hillary group that I thought Hillary would keep things the same and they kicked me out of the group! It was a compliment, certainly Hillary would not go down the road of Trump. So WTF, they kicked me out. I was amazed.

While the anti Trump forces are not (mostly) operating out of altruism and love of country, but rather self interest, the establishment people now supporting Trump, like Christie, have really shown themselves to be Albert Speers of our time.

What are we to think of the brown shirts surrounding the Democratic party elite in Nevada? Slippery slope indeed.

The Communist Party of Germany -- Kommunistische Partei Deutschlands.

And you don't think you're stretching things in comparing American progressives in 2016 with them? Seriously?

Should we add "people who imagine they're the only reasonable ones in the room calling the moderate left "the Far Left"? Because we have a "Check" there too.

Speaking of not learning from history, when has scolding worked in this situation?
