(10,073 posts)here in California. The state sends out a voters' guide that contains the official statements of those of our 34 candidates for senator who bothered to write them. The official statement for one is just "01100101". Another is "challenging 10 giant chaos in economy", while another brags about facilitating the declassification of "mind control slavery by satellite energy technology weapons and social engineering programs...for the past 50 years" (and then goes on about how Sanders' presidency is crucial to something or other). Yet another describes himself as an "Andrew Jackson Democrat" and spends part of his statement railing against the policies of Franklin Pierce. Then there's the guy who's swearing "on the graves of future Californians" that he will or will not do something. And Orly Taitz isn't even running for anything this year!
Harris and Sanchez stand out as rare islands of sanity. Sorry, Colorado: you've got a ways to go.
