Who will win the epic Paul Ryan vs. Sarah Palin smackdown???

See this post: http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=7815701

Washington (CNN)Sarah Palin will work to defeat House Speaker Paul Ryan by backing his primary opponent in Wisconsin, the former Alaska governor told CNN's Jake Tapper.

Palin said in an interview that airs Sunday on "State of the Union" that her decision was sparked by Ryan's bombshell announcement to Tapper last week that he wasn't yet ready to support Donald Trump, the Republican presumptive nominee. Palin endorsed Trump back in January.

"I think Paul Ryan is soon to be 'Cantored,' as in Eric Cantor," Palin said, referring to the former Republican House majority leader who was ousted in a shocking upset in 2014 when challenger Dave Brat ran to his right in a Virginia primary.

"His political career is over but for a miracle because he has so disrespected the will of the people, and as the leader of the GOP, the convention, certainly he is to remain neutral, and for him to already come out and say who he will not support is not a wise decision of his," Palin continued.

It's kinda like Godzilla vs. Mothra, but I'm not sure who is who in this case.

an idiot, , but he has $8 million on hand (a record-breaking amount) and reportedly has had strong support in Wisconsin. He also has been Charles Koch's choice, and it seems unlikely Koch would be willing to lose a strong sympathizer in the House Speaker's seat if even more money and powerful organization could prevent it.

That said, if they want to chomp on each others' tails, fine!

He knows, if push comes to shove, the Dems will show up to support him in a floor fight rather than have Speaker Gowdy, Hensarling, or McCarthy.

I don't see eye to eye with Ryan on anything, but he seems interested in actually governing, as opposed to grandstanding.

Algernon, a top leader being tossed out of office by an electorate that's slipped control. Like all the others, he is up for reelection this fall.

I'll triple down in the first part of your last statement and otherwise also agree. My fear is that he's learning from his foolish mistakes and will become dangerously competent and powerful. And he's already dangerously close to the presidency. Imo, best he be tossed out for that reason alone, but everyone who has been working secretly with the Kochs and their ilk to dismantle our government should be tossed out for that reason as well.

Btw, we never did learn who Justice Scalia was meeting with at the last of his secret meetings, or why. Bet Ryan knows, or at least has a good idea.

Too late to do this election. And the Kochs support him; they are at best ambivalent about Trump.

Unless we start getting really serious about winning state houses, the House will remain gerrymandered until at least after the 2030 census. Ryan knows he could be a powerful speaker for years. He also knows if Clinton or Sanders win, he will be the likely GOP nominee in 2020.

The (R) establishment can't let him lose a primary fight. Who else could they get to be Speaker?

Someone who will start impeachment proceedings on day 1 and shut down the Federal government as an alternative to governing.

Dumb as she is on any educational/governmental/world events topic; I've never seen a more brilliant public relations savvy individual.
