Reminder: Mercury transits the Sun this coming Monday, May 9th.

Starts for those in the Eastern US at 7:16 AM EDT and ends at 2:38 PM EDT.

Last one was 2006, next one will be in November 2019...then you will have to wait until 2032.

Warning: Do not look at the Sun without proper solar filtration. Also you will need a telescope to see it. Best bet is to look up your local astronomy clubs. Many will be hosting for the event and will have the proper equipment.

Thanks for the info.
