Oregon Refuge Occupiers Balk at Trial Date

... Kenneth Medenbach, who is representing himself and was convicted by a federal jury in Eugene last month in a separate case of illegally building and occupying a cabin on a federal road in Oregon, raised his perennial concern at every hearing so far: that Brown is not a real judge.

Medenbach said the Constitution prevents a federal judge from taking a second oath of office.

Once again, Brown listened patiently to Medenbach's argument.

"Thank you," she said when he was finished. "Your objections are noted for the record" ...

From people that are also trying to sell you seeds and gold, maybe you shouldn't represent yourself. Actually, no, they should represent themselves.

2. Ammon Bundy's lawyer Mike Arnold sounds like a piece of work.

But Judge Brown sounds as if she is not going to tolerate any nonsense.

3. IKR, suggesting the judge to take her oath again! Good grief!

Then he asked for increased rations for the Bundy brothers ... poor babies, perhaps the court could throw in some vanilla creamer, too.

I know I shouldn't be, but each time I read about the Bundys, I'm always amazed in a baffling kind of way of their skewered demands and belief system.

Judgespeak for "denied," but if you really think you can make that specious argument, take it up with the Ninth Circuit, 'cause it isn't going to fly here.

Medenbach is finding out the difference between a bull session with his buddies and trying out his legal theories in a real courtroom.
