Racketeering Suit Filed Against Snyder In Flint Water Crisis

FLINT (AP) – Hundreds of residents of Flint, Michigan, have filed a racketeering lawsuit targeting Gov. Rick Snyder and other state and local officials over lead contamination of the city’s drinking water.

The case was filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Flint.

It’s one of many suits arising from the decision to switch Flint from the Detroit water system to the Flint River in April 2014. It was considered a temporary move until Flint could join a new water authority that would pipe water from Lake Huron.

The new lawsuit accuses Snyder and others of hatching a “wrongful scheme” to raise money for the debt-ridden city. It says instead of seeking bankruptcy protection, officials had Flint stop buying clean, safe water from Detroit.

Snyder spokesman Ari Adler declined comment on the suit.

It was too big and well run to justify it any other way.

of Bernie's win in Wisconsin.

The "governor" should consider himself lucky if "all" he is convicted of is racketeering.

others who are privatizing the Commons on RICO charges, and prosecuting them
our job would done!

I am so sick and tired of so many of these RepubliCLOWNs, AND Democrats who think that a government can be run as a business successfully. They have two entirely different aims. One's priority is to make a profit, the other is to serve the people. I keep wondering when people are going to wake the hell up!

for the fiasco that the Detroit Public Schools are facing. A retired lawyer is representing the 46,000 students.

I hope he's having many sleepless nights. He's a criminal as are many of his henchman.
