So... will the Panama Papers have any impact at all in the US?

I'm betting no. Even if every member of Congress is shown to be filling their offshore accounts with drug money and the proceeds from slave trafficking, who would do anything about it? And what exactly might be done?

What will be done when the revelations are made?

I'm guessing that Congress will order new brooms with which to sweep this under the new rugs they'll order.

When it gets to this point, it is all about control, and preventing a real change in the government sufficient to lead to thorough and honest investigations.

People will still vote for corporate shills because of gays or abortion or some other dog whistle.

Let's seize the Cayman Islands!

We release the funds owned by foreign citizens and foreign corporations. All of that illegal cash that has bypassed US taxes can be seized and put in the US Treasury. When the billionaires squawk, jail them on tax evasion.
