if they promoted the slightest bit of critical thinking, they'd realize it can't actually happen; but, you know, ... republicans.

republican leaders have long figured out that they can win points by promising things that they know can't actually happen. in fact, the knowledge that it can't actually happen opens the door for them to promise all kinds of wacky stuff.

of the reasons the 1% have been going after him so hard. He also request something like 8,000 new IRS agents in one of his budgets to investigate tax cheats, focusing on those who have money hidden overseas. The GOP blocked that as well.

he's a "flat taxer." Wants to make sure rich folks aren't taxed more than us poor folks.

Just another RW thought meme designed to appeal to the Libertarian wing of the party. That's their Holy Grail.

Both are absolutely horrible ideas designed to get rid of the two biggies of the wealthy - the Capital Gains and Estate taxes. Why anyone with a brain stem buys this shit as a fair means of doing things is beyond me. Either one would give the wealthy a tax-free life on the backs of the middle/working/poor.

I mean, the fact that he's a Theocrat is strike one, two and three with me. But his economic know-nothingness is possibly even worse than Dubya's.

You do what they say, or you don't get the money. Unfortunately many Democrats are all too willing to play that game as well.
