JUST IN: IRS Accuses Donald Trump Of Lying About His Tax Returns

http://bipartisanreport.com/2016/02/27/just-in-irs-accuses-donald-trump-of-lying-about-his-tax-returns-video/

One of the main bones of contention at this week’s GOP debate in Houston was why Donald Trump, the current Republican front-runner, refuses to release his tax returns. Both Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio used that issue to hint that Trump is not at all trustworthy and the returns might, as 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney commented, contain a “bombshell.”

Trump insists the reason for his not releasing his returns is because he’s in the process of being audited by the IRS. Specifically, Trump said that he is being audited and that the audit goes back “four or five years.”

The real estate mogul also attempts to make it seem as if he would indeed show his tax returns to the world, but he cannot because the IRS will not allow him to. But yesterday the current IRS Commissioner, John Koskinen, addressed that matter:...

And on the whole matter of Trump saying that the audit he is undergoing goes back “four or five years,” the IRS once again says that Trump is indeed a liar liar whose pants are on fire. Audits almost never go back more than three years. They note:

he'll probably incorporate it into his stump speech about how they're on a witchhunt, blah, blah... Alex Jones has already laid the groundwork for the conspiracy wackos.

But I watch the pundits now and then gush about how well the candidates are lying to their respective bases.

It's kinda surreal how corruption has been lionized as a virtue.

was speaking of generalities because he could not be specific.

I think Trump is a liar, too, but the premise of the article is intellectually dishonest. One of the things I appreciate of the left is we are usually accurate in what we say or report.

I suspect, Trump is trying to figure out what IRS filings he'll release, & use the audit excuse for not revealing what's currently embarrassing or stinks. This is a new world for him. Bet he's got a huge team working on this year's filings.

No one thought he'd release his financials last year, but he surprised us all when he did. I'm curious on how he'll manipulate his returns.

I think Trump could put any numbers on it that he feels like. As long as it's not sent to the IRS, there's no crime.

And the IRS is unlikely to comment on the accuracy of a press release.

I guess I'd take any release of financial info with a grain of salt.

Plus, he could release a "real" 1040, without releasing the amendment that followed. I think that was rMoney's ploy.

The very first trait of Republicans is hypocrisy, a type of lie.
