both my wife and I are Hillary supporters.

Being Florida residents for the past 30+ years, his demise was very welcome.

We know who pulled Shrub's strings...
and I have seen nothing in Jeb that tells me he can actually do anything on his own.

I cannot understand all these comments about how popular he was - I know NO ONE who would like another term with him.

Somebody had to be working literally along side of him in office.
It is very clear that like Shrub, Jeb cannot handle unscripted talks.

We remember that when Congress wanted to talk to Bush, Cheney interceded, so that any conversation by Congress happened WITH Cheney,
no record kept, no oath of truthfullness.
Extraordinary.

Shrub was allowed to speak, scripted, at press conferences, and to show up in front of cameras, but most of the work of Pres. was done by Cheney, directly or indirectly.
so who was running interference for Jeb? He clearly is an idiot on the campaign trail.

she was rewarded by becoming his CoS.

She is married to a prominent Fl lobbyist.

There were strong rumors about the extent of their relationship.

Remember back in 2008 when the Attorney General frauds were being exposed?
Turned out that Rove had been heavily involved with our state's Republicans and esp. the US Attorneys.
The US Attorney who prosecuted Seigleman ( he was a strong threat to Repub. control here) was Leura Canary.
Wiki:

Currently, there are ongoing claims that Canary and his wife investigated former Alabama Governor Don Siegelman for political reasons.[2]
A Republican activist, lawyer Dana Jill Simpson of Rainsville, Alabama, filed a sworn statement saying that she was on a Republican campaign conference call in 2002 when she heard Bill Canary tell other campaign workers not to worry about Siegelman because Canary's "girls" and "Karl" would make sure the Justice Department pursued the Democrat so he was not a political threat in the future.[2]
"Canary's girls" included his wife, Leura Canary, who is United States Attorney for United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama and "Karl" referred to Karl Rove.[2] The people on the conference call included Governor Riley’s son and lawyer.[
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Canary

Here's the thing...when Obama went into the WH, most of the USAGs were replaced, which was normal..they usually are under a new Pres.

Except for Leura Canary..she remained in place until 2011!

Her husband, Bill, is President of Business Council of Alabama, which used to be......
The White Business Council of Alabama, directed activities of the KKK.

The Jeb back then was an extreme far right Republican, as far right as Ted Cruz easily. He was sharp and quick witted.

He has moved to the complete other side of the Republican party ideology-wise since then and has lost several steps in his mental acuity.

I am wondering who was the alcoholic in their parent's family......knowing, as we do, that the disease is generational and that Shrub is such a drinkner.

Some pundits, both on the left and the right maintained right till the end that the heretofore extremist clown car was but a machination to install JB as the eventual nominee. The paradigm is dead.

Kasich tries to be and Gilmore might have been, but since nobody knew he was running, it was irrelevant. It's not like Cruz, Rubio, Trump or Carson should have any business running for President.

But Jeb is the brother of one of the worst Presidents we've ever had and he was running just 8 years after his brother crashed the economy, started the Iraq war on lies and abandoned a U.S. city during/after Katrina. I'm not sure why anybody thought he would do well.

The new Bush team trumpeted a “shock and awe” strategy

Yeah, that will make people like you.

Plus his not using his last name, as if THAT would fool anyone.

I am just so glad he lightened the wallets of some rich people.
