Update: Ranch Owner Recalls Finding Justice Antonin Scalia’s Body

The justice arrived at the ranch Friday by chartered aircraft, traveling through Houston with a "good friend" to join about 35 other people who had been invited for a weekend retreat, Poindexter declined to name the other guests.

Poindexter said that Scalia and the rest of the group toured the ranch but that the justice "didn't exert himself at all." Later, everyone enjoyed a "very jolly dinner," Poindexter said. The justice was "his usual personable self" before excusing himself from the meal at about 9 p.m., said the ranch owner.

Poindexter said that the next morning, when Scalia didn't come to breakfast, he "forcefully" knocked on Scalia's door but didn't get an answer. He figured the justice was working, but when he and Scalia's friend returned about 11 a.m., they entered the room.

I wonder who the "good friend" was and why they don't ever refer to the gender of said friend. It would also be interesting to know who the other 35 invited guests were. I guess at 79 9 p.m. isn't an unreasonable bed time.

The bastard had a life of privilege and "very jolly dinners" flying around the world in private aircraft with good friends.

And, whatever.

"Other than being with his family or in church, there’s no place he’d rather be than on a hunt,” said Houston lawyer Mark Lanier, who took Scalia hunting for wild boar, deer and even alligators. Lanier said he first learned of Scalia’s love for hunting through former Supreme Court justice Sandra Day O’Connor. “He’ll do anything if you take him hunting,” Lanier recalled O’Connor saying.

Booze, mistresses, and possibly drugs for some.

I wonder if a big bloody ribeye, swimming in butter with a baked potato and sour cream on the side, followed by lots of smoking after a long plane ride, could have created the perfect physical scenario for a heart attack or stroke.

We never got the whole story of That Dick Cheney's hunting party after which his acquaintance had to apologize for being shot by the VP.

I'm amazed that SS agrees to cover up and protect lawlessness.
