Oregon standoff: Four holdouts say fight is "going to keep going"

The holdouts repeated their demands for pardons in several videos posted online on Saturday, the 29th day the federal building has been occupied. One clip responded to calls from Ammon Bundy, who lead the occupation until he was arrested on Tuesday, to be vacate the refuge. Instead, one holdout declared on the video that their fight is "a fight that is going to keep going."

"When are Americans going to learn to take a stand and then fight the system that is corrupt, instead of throwing yourselves into that mess and trying to put your fate into what you are fighting against?" asks the video's narrator, who appears to be David Fry, 27, of Blanchester, Ohio.

The others encamped are Sean Anderson, 47, and his wife, Sandy Anderson, 48, of Idaho, and Jeff Banta, 46, of Elko, Nevada.

Authorities have blocked public access to the refuge Wednesday. On Saturday afternoon, at least three convoys of SUVs emerged from behind one set of road blocks, signaling the heavy law enforcement presence on the site.

The occupiers appeared to spend the afternoon gathered at a makeshift camp site around a fire. The Andersons wore camouflage, Banta sipped a Coors Light and Fry captured the scene on video.

videos... looks like the couple from Idaho see cammo as a fashion statement more than anything and that they are too stupid to know anything else. Probable professional welfare/pubic assistance recipients.

I also suspect that they are so indoctrinated with bullsh*t that the other two are taking advantage of them and using them to drag this out... they are not walking out without charges and they are willing to get these two half-wits to sacrifice themselves for "the cause" which at this moment is making a media shitstorm to mark their passing after the shootout.

The FBI are probably rolling their eyes every time they have to engage in what might pass for negotiations with these poster children for mandatory public education funding.

I have said many times, the country is a mess b/c a hs diploma means nothing. You don't need to think critically or have evidence to back up your statements/opinion to get a diploma. I have taught in several high schools as a classroom teacher and tutor, so I know.

DC Public Schools doesn't even have an anti-truancy program, while truancy is one of the biggest issues in those schools.

8. I base this assumption

on my experience in public schools before thing got really bad in the 1970s. My elementary education, which spanned 14 different public schools in the first 9 years prepared me for practically waltzing into academia as a 9th grade dropout and 9 more years later earned a graduate degree. Had I not been taught well in my early years, I would not have made it into, let alone through academia.

I have been truly horrified watching the decline of the public education system that has been ruined by the same forces that are now attempting to destroy democracy, doing away with education was one of the early steps to get to where we are now, sadly.
