Help with Democrat-sponsored laws that benefit the common person.

I am having a discussion with a friend of mine who thinks the GOP and Democrats are "all the same." I would like to provide him with a link to all the laws sponsored by Democrats that benefit Joe Sixpack, the middle class, workers, etc. Then I'll compare that to the same list of GOP-sponsored laws that do likewise ... which I suspect is either none or close to it. Can anyone help me with such a link or a list of such legislation? (I can think of several off hand, like the Social Security Act, FMLA, the Civil Rights Act, but I'd be particularly interested in anything over the past 30 years or so in particular.
