Fox Had All Weekend To Come Up With A Line of Attack Against The Iran Prisoner Release...
And THIS was the best they could come up with?
1. Say swapping American prisoners for Iranian prisoners is 'putting a price tag on all Americans abroad?' Er...you're actually thinking about Ronald Reagan, who swapped sophisticated weapons for hostages in 1985? If all we're doing now is swapping Iranians convicted of minor breaches of the sanctions, it seems to me that the the price of American "hostages" has gone down considerably since the Reagan era.
I
saw Rubio feigning outrage over "a President who pays ransom to Iran for hostages!" And thought, "shouldn't you SPECIFY that you're talking about Obama? Otherwise people will just naturally assume you're talking about Reagan."
And, most ridiculous of all...
2. Bringing on ELLIOT ABRAMS to criticize the swap? REALLY? Elliot Abrams, the guy that Congress grilled for a month over Reagan's Iran-Contra affair??? Introducing Abrams as a "Former advisor to George W. Bush" won't help. Even the simians who watch Fox News know where to find Wikipedia, and even they will probably notice that Abrams was one of the main guys behind Reagan's arms for hostages swap.
