Oregon militants LaVoy Finicum and Ryan Bundy travel to Utah to plot another armed showdown

Two of the Oregon militants have been traveling out of state to meet with other groups who want the federal government to hand over public land to their control.

LaVoy Finicum said he left the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge last week and drove to Utah with one of the other armed militants, reported OPB.

He later identified his travel companion as Ryan Bundy, and he claimed they met with county officials eager to engage in a similar standoff with federal authorities over public land ownership.

Finicum said the occupied visitors center, which the militants have renamed the Harney County Resource Center, was a symbolic victory and inspiration to other anti-government extremists.

1. Of course! And why SHOUDN'T they keep plotting more seditious armed insurrections?

No one is stopping them. The FBI is apparently suffering from a sudden case of
paralysis when it comes to dealing with armed white supremacists breaking Federal
laws with impunity at the point of a gun, terrorizing local residents, free to come
and go as they please & receive endless supplies via US Mail and road access, etc..

4. Ryan Bundy had a run in with the Cedar City,

Utah building inspector over a dump truck parked on his land without current license tags. That was later dropped and never found out why. Most importantly to note here;is Cedar City is in Iron County a hotbed of Anti BLM policies and rules. Last summer the three County Commissioners voted to block any BLM actions or enforcement polices. With the help of the so called ranchers,the commissioners were able to get the D.C. Politico's to force the BLM to remove hundreds of wild Horses from BLM grazing land in Western Iron County with the fake story that the Horses were eating the Grass needed to feed their cattle. A media blackout occurred during the round up and know reported on the where what and how the Wild Horses were handled. A few of these so called Ranchers are relatives of the Bundy Clan.

This group of people have County Commissioners,City Council Members,Mayors,and State legislature members who run interference for these people. eastern oregon for the past 2 summers. they are filmed and snippets are passed around by horse rescue organizations on fb.

11. What really is crappy about this.

Most of these so called Ranchers are related and the area is called Hamlin Valley which is the Western side of Iron County Utah. Mostly Mormon and their are several large FLDS Mormon Farm operations with mega Irrigation setups to grow Alfalfa which is sold both to China and large Dairy operations in California. The Cattle operators blame the BLM for allowing the Wild Horses to eat their(Ranchers)feed for their cows. We and many others enjoy watching following this herd for about fifteen years. Drought conditions started in 2000 and by 2005 this range should been off limits to ranch cows. What has happened with the over grazing,cheat grass is crowding out the native range grass and these so called Ranchers are expecting to graze their same amount of cattle on this over worked land. But,it is the BLM's fault because the Horses ate all their grass. Meanwhile the environment only supports Varnish Bush and some Mesquite. Seen fences cut on non grazing allotments that were set aside for recovery and cattle grazing on these set asides. Tensions are high between the few BLM people and these so called Ranchers.

12. they round up the horses using helicopters

to separate the horses and any colts. it is cruel and sickening. then the blm sell them to the highest bidder (regardless of their bidder's intent for the horses) - who then sell them to buyers who ship them to processing plants in mexico.
it is despicable.
i used to live in the eastern sierra above reno and the blm wild mustang corrals were right off the 395. heartbreaking cruelty.

i've been in the high desert and witnessed the wild mustangs and their colts and it was memory of freedom and the wild i felt honored to witness.

humans have really lost their way.

13. What is so sad iis

the collusion between the Politician and these so called harmed Ranchers. And yes,the use a chopper in the round ups. Private Contractors,watch one dude doing a Burro round up on our claim,seemed pretty harsh when horses and ATV's would have been better suited for the conditions.

5. Of course both Finicum and Bundy traveled out of State when they came to Oregon as they are from

Arizona and Nevada. That is to say they are not 'Oregon militants' they are militants who are currently in Oregon but are from elsewhere. They have been traveling out of State the entire occupation because what they are occupying in not in their State.
