FBI/ATF apparently doesn't give a rat's ass about Domestic Terrorism in our face
Now they are using the Malheur Refuge as a national stage for white supremacists to promulgate hate, armed insurrection, and land-grabbing Federal property at the point of a gun.
![]() ![]() "KrisAnne Hall, a prominent national face of the so-called patriot movement, will visit Burns on Monday to conduct public workshops supporting the point-of-view of those occupying the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. http://www.oregonlive.com/oregon-standoff/2016/01/oregon_standoff_talk_show_host.html#incart_river_index

1. Well they DO if it is anyone except white, conservative, armed to the teeth uneducated types.
Try any other political type or skin color and you will see a most violent reaction. The obvious double standards could not get any more obvious by now...OWS was a peaceful protest against a government-corporate wrong and was treated like a terrorist movement.

2. I've always liked Horicon National Wildlife Refuge.
Maybe I'll move in. It seems like a good time to stake a claim.

5. Why the hell are they allowing visitors?
I'm glad they arrested at least one. Every damn time one of those yahoos leaves, he should not be allowed back in, should be arrested and have his phone confiscated. He can wait for his "one phone call" until he sees a judge.

7. That's what I've been saying. LE knows damned-well how to shut this down, w/no bloodshed
but they are refusing to do so, which i their fuck job. If they were doing their jobs, it
would look more like this: a) cut off all access (in & out) to the Federal facility and lands involved, surround the place with wide perimeter if necessary. b) cut off all utilities, jam the cell phones & computer access, cut off water, electricity, etc. c) wait them out and arrest them when they leave, or use tear gas, as needed to force the issue. |

10. actually for part B the switches are apparently AT the building--there's too much
being served at the moment to send the lineworkers in, according to local commenters

11. The electrical lines are not underground, they are on polls
Water lines are no doubt underground, and the federal gov't has engineering drawing showing
where they are located. Jamming cell phones is not rocket science. Are you really convinced that LE authorities can't figure this shit out? |

9. "..room to destroy" No shit. Destroying Federal property, violating security of Federal computers
taking Federal employees security badges to hack into their computer accounts, including their SS numbers
and credit card information, tearing down public fences, stealing Federally owned vehicles, harassing local Burns residents while heavily armed, etc. Tell me, who else could do these things on national TV with impunity, and simply get away with it, for 16 days now? |
