I meant I'd never heard the NAME. I've seen the tactic a billion times, almost always one of them trying to talk over us with that stuff. I'd always heard it called sophistry the few times a name was given to the strat itself, but this other name seems much more accurate to what I was talking about.

Also, thanks for the link, that's a good vid. He's both slimy and good at it, which is a horrible combination usually reserved for the Priesthood (the political class). I hate how effective it is. Combatting it in the era of the sound bite, the internet literally destroying attention spans, and overwhelming amounts of misinformation will be an effort in extreme exhaustion, if not futility. But it must be done, exposed, and destroyed.
