strategy... cut off ALL access to the outside world, except for law enforcement, then wait them out until they get too cold, hungry and bored. Give as little media attention as possible, since that is also what they crave.

The FBI is handling a criminal case against the armed men occupying the refuge since Saturday, and has told (Sheriff) Ward that the men will face charges. The sheriff still believes a peaceful resolution to the conflict is possible.

“The bureau has assured me that those at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge will at some point face charges,” Ward said.

Ward did not give specifics on what charges the men will face.
