get real. FDR was governor of New York. He came from the upper class and went to the most prominent schools. He was an incredible speaker and was incredibly inspiring. Bernie is nice but come on.

(24,324 posts)I am concerned with a candidate's positions and for whom he or she will fight.
I mean, we COULD also say that Bernie is not in a wheelchair, and does not have an expansive property on the Hudson River, but that is no more relevant than what 'class' he comes from, BECAUSE of his positions..
Bernie DOES get it. And interestingly enough, despite his quite different social background, so did FDR... AND is stunning wife.
BTW, my mother, who came from a rather poor family in NW Arkansas, (she was even adopted) knew Eleanor Roosevelt, but that is another story.

(51,076 posts)there was an interment camp out in what is the industrial park south of Pryor ok. West of sportsman acres. I'm sure you're familiar with that area. One of the guard towers still stands today
