Whats a "bearcat" - Cali shootout

I'm listening to the police scanner this shout out sounds absolutely crazy. All these officers are desperately asking for a 'bearcat'. Anyone know what that is? Google returns an animal.

Were these on the list of military equipment being pulled from police? If so they should probably make an exception. Seems like they were really needed here.
