Mitt: I don't agree with all the racists who support me but I need to get 50.1%

Asked on his charter plane whether Trump’s questioning of President Barack Obama’s birthplace gave him pause, Romney simply said he was grateful for all his supporters.

“You know, I don't agree with all the people who support me and my guess is they don't all agree with everything I believe in,” Romney said. “But I need to get 50.1% or more and I'm appreciative to have the help of a lot of good people.”

1. Typical Republican,

He would accept Bin Laden's, Hitler's, Voldemort's and Joffrey Baratheon's support if it got him elected. Come to think of it, Mittens has more in common with all those people then he does with the common American citizen.

8. Actually, back in 2004, didn''t Walter Cronkite suggest that

Republicans released a tape that could cause Americans to believe Bin Laden and Al Qaeda would want Kerry to be elected?

Cronkite's words: I'm a little inclined to think that Karl Rove, the political manager at the White House, who is a very clever man, he probably set up bin Laden to this thing.

Here is a bit of the context of the interview.

KING: OK, Walter. What do you make of this?

CRONKITE: Well, I make it out to be initially the reaction that it's a threat to us, that unless we make peace with him, in a sense, we can expect further attacks. He did not say that precisely, but it sounds like that when he says...

KING: The warning.

CRONKITE: What we just heard. So now the question is basically right now, how will this affect the election? And I have a feeling that it could tilt the election a bit. In fact, I'm a little inclined to think that Karl Rove, the political manager at the White House, who is a very clever man, he probably set up bin Laden to this thing. The advantage to the Republican side is to get rid of, as a principal subject of the campaigns right now, get rid of the whole problem of the al Qaqaa explosive dump. Right now, that, the last couple of days, has, I think, upset the Republican campaign.

5. Um, somebody needs to tell Mittens that a simple majority of the vote

doesn't elect the President. There's that whole little Electoral College thingie.......

6. I'll say one thing for him, he's honest.

Essentially:
"I'll pander to pure evil in order to get votes."

It's refreshing to hear a politician tell the truth, isn't it?

... Ahem ...

19. 48.4% actually, but point taken.

Its doubtful Romney wins the popular vote even if he manages to win the Electoral College, so he should just stick with the 270 thing.

13. So his supporters could say and stand for anything, anything at all and that's okay

It's all about bringing in those big campaign donations. When he smells money, the corneas in Romney's eyes turn into dollar signs.

16. no surprise there -- after all, Mr. etch-a-sketch will be anything to anyone to get their vote

so no surprise that he doesn't much care what his supporters stand for either.

If he cannot denounce racism, he is a racist.
