Christie Reportedly Gets Kicked Off Of Amtrak's Quiet Car For Being Too Loud

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/chris-christie-train-smoothie?utm_content=buffere4e74&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

Republican presidential candidate and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was reportedly kicked off of the quiet car on an Amtrak train from DC to New York for being too loud, Gawker reported Sunday.

A passenger on the train, Alexander Mann, told Gawker that Christie got on the train "last minute" and started yelling at his bodyguards. He then started making phone calls and had "intense" conversations, Mann reportedly said.

(snip)

The Amtrak's quiet car prohibits cell phone use and loud noise of any kind.

After about 10 minutes, Christie was asked to leave the quiet car, Mann was quoted as saying.

Christie's campaign did not immediately return a request for comment.

He'll blame it on the McD's Strawberry Smoothie he was drinking.

Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for admiration and a lack of empathy for others.

Didn't it occur to him that other people were in there because they wanted to be in a quiet space? No, he probably just thought "Oh great, it's quiet in here so nobody will interrupt or annoy me during my "very important" phone call. What a jerk.

6. From "The Hill"

The governor sat down and immediately started making phone calls, according to Mann. Christie appeared to be having a heated phone conversation, repeating "this is fricken' ridiculous" and "seriously?! seriously?!"

After about 10 minutes, a train conductor reportedly asked the governor to stop yelling or move to another car.
"He got up and walked out again yelling at his Secret Service," Mann told Gawker.

"On a very full train this morning, the Governor accidentally took a seat in Amtrak's notorious quiet car." Christie spokesperson Samantha Smith said in a statement to The Hill. "After breaking the cardinal rule of the quiet car, the Governor promptly left once he realized the serious nature of his mistake and enjoyed the rest of his time on the train from the cafe car. Sincere apologies to all the patrons of the quiet car that were offended."

Those conductors don't fuck around. If you talk above a whisper, or for prolonged periods of time AT a whisper, they will kick you the fuck out. If the music from your headphones can be heard by others, they will kick you the fuck out. If you are silent and typing too loud on your laptop, they will kick you the fuck out. I heard them give a lady shit for long-term coughing.

The best part of my commute between Philly & Baltimore for work was riding in the quiet car. It truly was the most silent space, aside from the sound of the train itself.

And inaccurate. He didn't leave of his own will, he was asked to leave. And he "enjoyed the rest of his time on the train from the cafe car" -- how ironic . . . right to the food car.
