I am a Hillary supporter.
I have been increasingly saddened by the tone of the posts as the primary season has unfolded. I know for myself I will HAPPILY support whomever the democratic nominee is. It's not that I don't like Bernie, I just like Hillary better.
Today I saw a graciousness and supportive tone from the Bernie group that has made me extremely grateful to be a part of this group and has erased my sadness. So I want to reiterate my support to you as well.
Thank you.

How much did it have to do with the presence of a CIA outpost in Benghazi?
What was the CIA's role if any in all this matter?

(4,775 posts)Just more Business As Usual. And that's no attack on Hillary, my take on it is these things go on non-stop while the politicians come and go. Doesn't mean we shouldn't take notice, either.

(65,290 posts)of Bernie and Hillary supporters. I am a Bernie supporter, but I also like Hillary and will avidly support her if she is our candidate. I honestly believe that there are more Bernie and Hillary supporters who feel as I do and who don't taunt or sneer at the other candidate or his/her supporters than there are of the unpleasant, sh** stirring kind.
Furthermore, I suspect that not all of the aggressive posters are really Democrats or liberals, or even actual supporters of the candidate they claim to support. There is probably at least *some* ratf***ing going on.

(813 posts)I'm a Bernie supporter, but stay out of the fray. That said, I will have no problem at all voting for Hillary if she is our party's candidate. Go Blue, Vote Blue!!
I have always liked both of them. But, to tell the truth, I avoided posting here lately because of the rift.
The unpleasantness lately has the mark of the beasts - Rove and Atwell - smeared all over it. They excelled at dividing the opposition in such a way that made natural allies into enemies that would not listen to each other. I tried once with one person but the reply was such a snarl that I had to back away completely.
Please, pleeeeeeease, everyone - we're allies and friends. We should not be at each others' throats!

(6,123 posts)I supported Hillary in 2008. It became so ugly here during the primaries that I just stopped posting. While I am supporting Bernie this time, I have no problem supporting Hillary also.
I have never felt so at ease going into the primaries and the general election. Between Hillary and Bernie I just feel that we win no matter who gets the nomination. For the first time in a long time I am enjoying the election cycle and watching the GOP crash and burn.

(22,666 posts)I'm a Bernie supporter but will be proud to vote for Hillary if she's the nominee. NOBODY could have endured that assault with such aplomb and cool-headedness but Hillary Clinton. Those bastards have been out to destroy her since they knew she existed. Today, all they did was help her on her way to the Oval Office. They're such idiots. I was PROUD of Hillary Clinton today.
It would be SUCH justice if those knuckle-dragging jackass thugs had to watch her being sworn in as President in Jan 2017. They're already planning her impeachment. Pfft.

(841 posts)More Americans may now just forget from watching Hillary live for 11 hours that only Bernie has the potential to return at least one house of Congress to the Democrats (remember our 75,000,000 millennials?), enabling the President to begin work on fixing our horrible problems.
Electing Hillary will merely mean a "Benghazi" atmosphere of government every day for four years against two opposing houses of Congress and NOTHING will get done.

(3,186 posts)She's like a longtime old friend, or family member even, who I may not always agree with, (and might even become PO'd at sometimes) but greatly respect and admire. Incidentally, I feel the same way about President Obama.
Both he and Hillary are my/our 'peeps' and I can't help but feel protective of them, even though they have proven time and again how strong and capable they are in handling all of the crap thrown in their direction. The R's behavior toward both of them has been despicable.
We need to be circling the wagons for her sake, and stand united in solidarity... (We can resume our family bickering some other day. )
But for now, she may still need us.

I will support Sanders in the primary but Ive said all along, whoever is the eventual Dem nominee will get my vote.
I was SO PROUD of Hillary yesterday, for her intellect, memory recall, forbearance and the fact that she did not call Gowdy "Slimy McSweatershine or the myriad other ridiculously immature things I would have done (I havent hit anyone since I was 5 but I sure as hell wanted to last night) but as a WOMAN, I was OFF THE CHARTS happy to see her unnerve the shit out of those fuck-faced trolls just by sheer composure. Truly a thing of beauty.
The other reason I know empirically she did a bang up job of it was that my Fox-Watching RW mother didnt call to gloat.

(14,169 posts)And wasted tax dollars, and time these senators could have spend actually solving problems instead of manufacturing them. Not only Bernie supporters but all Americans should be disgusted by this, one of a long line of committees who had all previously rejected any guilt on the previous Secretary of State.
Because IF she had NOT come out of this well, either because of some shenanigans by the GOP, or just Hillary having a bad day and the MSM blowing that up like they have want to do (the Dean scream)...then it is bad not only for Hillary but for the name of the Democratic Party in general. So of course we all should stand behind Hillary and against this kangaroo court.

(114 posts)We need civility among the Democrats, and I like what I saw in the first debate, and I like what I see here. (81,194 posts)I feel the same way. Staunch Hillary supporter here. I haven't posted much here in almost two months because of the acrimony here. And it hurt. Because I've loved this place since early 2001. It helped get me through the abysmal bush/cheney years. There are many people I respect and for whom I feel a lot of personal affection. And I miss them. And we're ALL on the same team, with the same goal - of keeping the White House in Democratic hands.
I've said many times, too, that I will happily vote for Bernie Sanders if he gets the nomination, but I like Hillary better, and have personally resonated with her since I first heard of her in 1992.
This thread is like balm for a wound, like big jugs of fresh clean water to the parched. It's hard to articulate how much I appreciate all the posts here - and the people here who wrote them. THIS is the DU I first fell in love with. And if there was still any doubt about who our real enemy is, yesterday's Benghazi inquisition made that clear. WE are not the enemy of each other. It's the CONs who are our real enemy. And JOB ONE is to keep them OUT of the White House.
Love you guys. And thank you!
